Keeping Accountable

With the work we did on Friday, concerning the values we want to uphold in class as we continue through the year, I want you to give us ideas on how we are going to keep each other accountable for keeping our values alive and real for us as we begin to venture into more challenges. Remember you can use last weeks blog to keep in mind the categories we created.

On another note remember to bring in payment for rollerblading.

  1. One way to remember these values, is to have a day set apart for one of the values. For instance, we could spend a day doing activities that require trust in different ways.

  2. We could do certain activites and guess what the significance of it was

  3. We should do activities that concern team building and fun and courage. Also, at the end of everyday we can discuss what values we used that day and how we used it.

  4. we can do some group activities that involves one of the values and talk about how the activities are important at the end.

  5. We should do activities that apply the values we talked about, and at the end of the activity we could talk about what values were used and how they were used.

  6. we should definitely do activities that incorporate the values, but in subtle ways so that everyone can see how they apply to real life.

  7. I think we should do activities that incorporate the values but each value shouldn't be so obvious, like at the end of each activity we should have to guess which value it was and why we think that.

  8. We can do activities that challenge these values and force us to use them. For example, we can do an activity that would force us to trust, kind of like we did with the crossing the river type thing.

  9. I think we should do activities that have very high risk so the values are very easy to notice!

  10. I honestly think the best way to uphold the values and print them into our heads is to just keep bringing them up in class activities.

  11. Activities implimenting the ideas we want are good. That and reviewing our values after each game/etc that we do.

  12. We should all be responsible for ourselfs by keeping an open mind, treating others the way we want to be treated, and helping everyone. We should help others remember these responsiblities.

  13. We should continue to do activities in class that incorporate all of the values that we, as a class, considered important. But i think as time goes on, the class should begin to see the values within the activites without being asked.

  14. I think that if we talked about the values as a class every once in a while and kept reminding each other about them, that we could start seeing these values being used.

  17. I think the team building activities are good because it gets us used to trusting and sharing our ideas with everybody in class. This will teach us to be more comfortable and open in class which will be more fun for everyone.

  18. We will keep eachother accountable for remembering these values by talking about them often. Also if we look around and we see that the values aren't being kept, then we should discuss them and fix the problem.

  20. we could spend a day doing acticities that help with our values. we could spend a say doing things were we all have to trust eachother, everyone trusting everyone...then other days we all have to do someting that makes us uncomfortable or nervous...for courage and so on.

  21. We could do activities that encourage or require the values we want to learn in this class. Then we could focus more on any values that the class struggled with.
