end of semester
How did the semester go for you? Was Adventure Ed what you expected? What was your favorite moment of the semester? What was your least favorite moment of the semester other than the dreadful fitness days? What are your goals for next semester? What could I have done differently to make your experience better in this class?

i really liked this semester. i thought that we wouldnt have to do intense workout days, but it wasn't "that" bad. hahahah. i really liked the team buliding activities. they're fun. i didnt like when we had to learn everything to rappel because i just really wanted to start on rappelling. my goals for next semester is to become more closer with out classmates. and mr. h, you should give us some slack on the fitness days.

hehe
I thought this semester went pretty well. i like repelling and i think some of the team building things we do are pretty fun. fitness days arent to bad but sometimes thier kind of boreing.
ReplyDeleteI liked this semester with nice classmates. I liked group activites like electricity wall and trustfall. I didn't like that we had to take the quiz about rappelling. My goal for next semester is to be more active.
ReplyDeletei think this semester was pretty fun. I enjoyed the group activities, and fitness days(unless they're on mondays). rappeling was a huge acheivment for me. I definitely wouldn't have tried it outside of class until now. My goal for next semester is to keep pusing myself to try new things that i would never do.
ReplyDeleteI think this semester was fun and it wasn't really what I expected. My least favorite moment was when we started rappeling because I wasn't good at it, but my favorite moment was when I went upside down rappeling because it felt like such a big accomplishment. My goal for next semester is to keep up the way things are going now, and to improve myself in whatever we are doing.
ReplyDeleteThis class wasn't exactly what I expected. We do more fun things than I thought a gym class was capable of. My favorite part was probably getting lost during roller blading..I did not like trust falls at all. My goal is to maintain the A!
ReplyDeleteI really like Outdoor Adventure...besides fitness days. The team building activities are really fun, especially the ones that involve the swinging ropes. The most frustrating part was probably the "electric fence" team builder. It was really frustrating having to do it over and over again, but it was so exciting and a huge relief when everyone made it over. This class has been so much fun, now if only we could get rid of the fitness days...or have a snowball fight, either or would be nice.
ReplyDeleteThis semester was a lot of fun. I think my favorite part was the day we had to swing from one mat to the other mat. Although I didn't really enjoy the times we would do the trust falls, I know how important they are. Event hough I didn't enjoy them that much. This semester I'm really looking forward to meeting new students who are coming into our class and I'm really excited for more team building activites :)
ReplyDeleteThis semester was awesome. I like everything about Outdoor Adventure including the fitness days plus it has been great getting to know everyone in the class. My favorite part would either be the trust falls or rapelling I enjoyed them both and in all honesty there was not one activity that I did not enjoy. This next semester I am looking forward to climbing and especially Devil's Lake it is going to be awesome. H you are doing an awesome job!
ReplyDeleteAdventure ed is soo much better than leader pe. I'm glad I switched. I particularly loved rappelling all different ways, and the trust falls were fun too. Aside from the dreadful fitness days, there wasn't anything bad about class. I want to see the class become more cohesive as we get to know each other. I'm also looking forward to Devil's Lake and climbing. I don't think you could have done a better job at teaching us!
ReplyDeleteThis class was pretty cool first semester. Working with other kids in our class and team building activities were fun. Rappelling wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I even slightly enjoyed the fitness days ;). I can't wait what is in store for the following semester. GOOD LUCK FOR FINALS GUYS!!!

This semester was fun! I'm glad that I got to take adventure I & I'm disappointed that I can't take adventure II. This semester was what I expected. My favorite moment was when I slipped while rappelling forwards. For some reason I just made me laugh & it was fun too and I know I can trust my rappel group. My least favorite moment was when we got stuck on one of the team building activities and everyone was getting frustrated and the overall class communication was failing. My goal for next semester is to get to know more of the class better and to work towards devil's lake! I think if there was a way to incorporate fitness into rappelling or whatever activity we are working on at the time.
ReplyDeleteThis semester has been good! Even though I wasn't in this class first quarter, everyone was really nice and warm! Outdoor adventure has been fun. I thought when I signed up for it that I would only enjoy the teambuilding stuff because I get nervous with dangerous things, but I have done things in this class that I before would have never thought I would have had the courage to do(For example, repelling forwards) My least favorite days were learning the knots because it was hard for me, but those days were ultimately important.
ReplyDeletethis semesters was fun and very interesting. I made new friends. I lived to rapell but it went kinda slow at times but it was fun. I can't wait for devils head bc I have been wanting to go there. I absolutely hate fitness days. they are so boring and I would rather run the mile and get it over with. I didn't expect for them to be sooo intense. but I can deal with them. mr h ur doing a good job as a teacher. but I think that if we wear boots or something u shud just let us learn r lesson if we get hurt and if we don't then yay!! anyways it's a great class and I love it
ReplyDeleteThis semester was tons of fun, pretty much why I signed up for this class. The fitness days weren't all that bad, just a more difficult and taxing work out only a on weekly basis was hard. My least favorite moment was that first time repelling and trying to get both hands on the rope as opposed to death griping the rail. After that repelling was tons of fun, and I'm looking forward to climbing. However I'm not really up for jumping from the top of the gymnastics room, that just looks scary.
ReplyDeleteThis semester was pretty fun overall. The teambuilding stuff we did was cool and it did make me trust people in the class more. Although I am now officially terrified of rappelling, learning how the entire set up works was interesting and when I did rappel it was nice to know that my group wasn't going to let me fall. I am however looking forward to climbing.
ReplyDeleteI thought the semester was easier then expectd. The way you presented some stuff made me doubtful, such as how to stop a rappeler from falling to their doom. The teambuilding activities were fun and interesting. The one I was scared the most was when we had to fall back into our group's arms and then they lifted us and swayed us back down. My least favorite moment in the class doing the trust fall. I was very scared that I would end up hurting someone. Next semester I want to be able to be a better listener, especially when we work with small groups. My favorite moment in the class has to be when i went face forward when we were rappeling. I truely enjoyed trusting my team when I just hung in midair, face forward, like a spy and having people stare up at me.
ReplyDeleteOutdoor was a lot like I expected, but what I didn't expect was how close everyone in the class would get. We're only halfway through the year and everyone acts like we've known each other for years, which is great! I really liked all if the team building exercises we did in the beginning of the year, but I also liked getting into rappelling. My least favorite part of the semester was falling when I tried to go face first...haha but it turned out okay because everyone else got a kick out of it. I think that you're doing a great job!
ReplyDeletei really like this class. first semester was a lot of fun. i was surprised with a lot of the things i did, and i was surprised that everyone can work as a team and get along like we have been.
ReplyDeletemy least favorite besides the fitness days...i don't know. i liked everything. i was scared to do the trust falls, but they weren't that bad. next semester i want to try to go out of my confort zone a little more and try things that scare me, like all the things that are coming up this semester
