Rappel On!

Tell us what your concerns are with rappelling, I want you to consider the groups, the set up, the safety measures, the accountability sheet, and what ever else that concerns you with this activity that we will be doing the next few weeks.

  1. My only concern right now is just remembering all the steps to do a safe repelling

  2. I've been sick so I'm worried about remembering all the knots. That and possibly forgetting a step in the procedure... that would be pretty scary.

  3. I don't really have any concerns because I feel like even if I forget something my group will be able to help me out so we will still be safe and as long as we help each other I think everything will go smoothly.

  4. I'm just a little bit worried that we'll forget a step in the set up process. But I'm pretty sure someone in my group would catch the mistake.

  5. I'm a little worried about remembering which knots to do and in what order. I'm also a little worried that something will go wrong and someone will get hurt.

  7. I think that we will somehow make some mistakes and forget one or two steps.

  8. I am worried that we will forget the steps and fail to do the preparation correctly.

  9. I'm worried that we will forget to do one of the steps or make a mistake, because I'm nervous about the idea of repelling in the first place.

  12. My biggest worry is that i will make a mistake during one of the steps because I don't want to let my group down.

  13. I am worried that we will forget a step on tuesday. I think that we needed more time to finish the dry run of setting up. I am lokking forward to rappeling.

  14. Rappeling doesnt really have me worried, its just making sure that my group knows what there doing. doing more time on setting up wouldnt hurt to much.

  15. I am not scared to repel myself, but I am afraid that I might do something wrong while someone else is repeling. I don't want to cause someone else to fall and I will try my best to keep someone from hitting the ground. If I fall, well, I not that scared of falling, I am confident with my group.

  16. I'm worried that we'll forget an important step in the setup. I'm also slightly afraid of actually rappelling down the wall, and taking care of other people doing so.

  17. I would feel much more comfortable if we could actually do the set up right, and be organized by the chart. When we practiced in the gymnastics room, it seemed to be more chaotic then anything.

  18. Like a majority of the other posts, I too am concerned about memorizing the step requiered to keep everyone safe. I think we may just need a few tips to memorize all the steps. Then, we'll know we're safe.

  20. I am mostly worried about making a mistake that could harm anyone. I also think the whole thing is scary being up so high and just walking down on your own.

  21. like a lot of people have said, im scared that i will mess up on knots and possibly hurting others. also i think that it would be fun and scary to repell down, but i think that i'll get used to it once i do it once.

  23. My only major concern is that I dont know all the steps perfectly. Im sure that someone in my group does, but I want to make sure that I know everything to. Im confident that my group will succeed!

  24. I'm actually excited to begin this. I think my only concern is the safety issue. It's not that I don't trust those who are in my group, I don't feel comfortable just yet. I think after more practice, we will all be able to do this easily!

  25. my concern is not the rapelling part but the knot tying part. hopefully everyone in my group will take it seriously and i will just take time to remember. but it will happen and then it will be FUN

  26. my concern is more the set up because i feel like theres a lot but i know that we will soon get the hang of it.

  27. i think we should have gotten to pick our own groups duh! not to say i dont LOVEEEE my group :) im sure everyone will be fine because we've gotten to practice the set up a few times now and it seems to be going well.. the accountability sheet seems unnecessary but whatever ya gotta do whatcha gotta do i guess.

  28. I'm worried that I will forget a step or do something wrong and there will be a problem with the repeller. I always feel like I'm doing something wrong or forgetting a key thing. But then again, that's why we have our groups, to check eachother's work and to figure out how to make it work right and keep everyone safe.

  29. right now im worried about setting something up wrong cause myself or someone else in my group to get hurt but i think once we do it correctly once or twice everything will be fine and the fear will go away.

  30. My big concern is definitely falling. I trust my group but I'm not sure if I really trust myself. I remember the steps of the set-up but I'm worried that once I get up there I'll forget what I'm supposed to do.
