How was todays activity for you? Where you and your group able to accomplish the task? How does this activity connect to us and climbing?

  1. I really enjoyed the activity we had today. I was pretty happy that our group was the first group to accomplish it without much of difficulties. Especially, i was proud of my group that we had good team-work and knew how to work things out toghether. As to climbing, i think this activity helped us with the idea that we need to be able to work together and calm ourselves down rather than to panic or try to work faster when we get to problems.

  2. This was fun, and to be honest not too difficult for our group. Like climbing to have this activity be a succuess we had to work to gether as a team. Our group had to be able to support the person with the cup sort of like the belay team supports the climber. Also the group had to tell the person with the cup how to tilt the cup which is like the belay team telling the climber which rocks to climb up. That was a matter of trusting th group, just like you have to tust your belay team.

  4. I'm kinda regretting that I was not the person with the cup. I think this activity was a matter of trusting group members. Our group told the person with the cup what to do, and that person listened to us to succeed this activity. I think this activity was also a matter of conversation. When we climb, we have to have a conversation to succeed, too.

  5. even though my group wasnt able to complete the task, it was still fun trying to come up with different ways to do it. it gave our group the chance to work together just like we would do in climbing

  6. My group did not accomplish the task, but we did have some pretty good ideas that I think may have worked if we had taken our time to do each one instead of trying all different ideas at once. It relates to climbing in that we need everyone's help to be safe while climbing and we need to be able to trust each other and help each other out just like in this activity. I thought it was a lot of fun and easy to relate to climbing.

  9. I thought that the activity was a great teambuilding activity. Our group did not accomplish the task, but we still had fun doing it. I thought that the activity was heavily based on communication and patience. You need to communicate and help your teammates when you are climbing. We were trying random ideas and could not stick to one method. We were easily distracted like how we are when we are in the gymnastics room.

  10. I thought that this activity was really challenging. Our group didnt accomplish it. I think that this relates to climbing in the way that we all have to work together and it takes the whole group to accomplish a goal.

  11. It was fun... It was really hard. We had to think outside the box and work together to make it work. Unfortunately our group did not accomplish the goal. We had some good ideas, but we weren't quite able to figure out how to make them work. This relates to climbing because you need every member of the group and we all have to work together with full concentration in order to reach the goal and not drop anyone on their head ;-)

  14. this was a really fun activity. I actually hurt my shoulder being flipped, but it was definitely worth it. I think it shows our class that the little things in the larger picture are just as important and can lead to something going wrong, like someone getting a cup of water spilled on them could be someone falling and no one was really there to catch them.

  15. Our group didn't complete the task but we had great ideas that could have got the job done if we had more time. This activity connects to climbing because it showed how each person needs to be patient in order for the entire group to succeed.

  16. It wasn't a very easy activity, but it wasn't impossible. I found that our group went off on some ideas that just weren't working, wasting some time. But given another day, we could have probably figured something out.

  17. I liked this activity a lot. It was entertaining to watch other groups try out different techniques. I thought the water represented the safety of the person climbing, and it if spilled (or the person fell), the whole group would have to deal with the consequences.

  18. Even though my group only had 4 people in it, I thought it was a fun activity to get everyone involved. We came up with many diffrent ways to complete the task even though we never succeed. I think that if we had more time, one of our ideas may have been successful.

  19. Our group didn't actually complete this, but we had a lot of fun trying! This relates to climbing because in order to be successful at the activity everyone had to be paying attention and giving their best effort; same goes for climbing.
